The Remote Virtual Program (RVP) offers a high-quality online learning experience for students in grades 4–8. Students participate in scheduled live (synchronous) instruction with FCPS teachers and complete independent (asynchronous) learning activities throughout the school day. This combination provides regular teacher interaction and opportunities to develop independence, time-management skills, and student agency.
Success in RVP requires consistent attendance, active participation, completion of assigned work, and ongoing support from a parent or guardian. Students enrolled in RVP follow the FCPS curriculum and are required to comply with all FCPS policies and regulations, including those related to attendance, grading, technology use, and student conduct.
